why things continue to feel so hard

do you know why things feel really hard and continue to feel hard?

why you keep going to bed each night, feeling dissatisfied with the day, beating yourself up with the should’ve, could’ve’s, and would’ves?

Promising yourself tomorrow will be different.

Just to wake up, put an insane amount of pressure on yourself to BE different, put it all off, put if off again….

And suddenly you’re back in bed with the same feelings.

It’s not because you’re doing anything wrong.

It’s not because there’s anything wrong WITH you.

It’s because…you’re a human with a big heart and a message to share.

And each day you go to bed stifling that message.

Covering it with the need for things to be perfect.

Allowing the ego to run the show and convince you that you’re not good enough and you’re not the one for it.

I get it. I’ve been there. I’m there every day.

I know those messages of “The world needs you.” make you question yourself even more.

Who could need me? They’re just saying that because x, y, z. Right?

Like there’s no way — that’s meant for other women, those women I look up to.

I’m just here in my dream world wishing + wanting dreams that aren’t mine.

It’s a really tough place to be in isn’t it?

What I’m really here to tell you is that…

There’s nothing wrong with you.

Your heart is not lying to you.

The passion on your heart…is not lying to you.

None of it is a lie — let’s stop invalidating ourselves.

What if you took a deep breath + just chose to believe in YOU?

I’m willing to bet when you did the thing you keep thinking about…

Making a post, leaving the job, speaking up, setting the boundary, or whatever it may be…

Suddenly you felt…free.

The overwhelm, the anxiety, the critical pressure you’re putting yourself under?

That’s just the wall that you GET to lean into and decide to overcome.

You get to decide “Okay, I’m ready to see what’s on the other side of this.”

Inhale.

Exhale.

And do the thing you know you’re meant to do.

Take the smallest step you know you’re meant to take.

The one you keep saying “Oh no, it’s not that simple.”

It really is. The only wrong way is to NOT trust yourself.

You can do it differently. Different than anyone has seen before.

Leave people scratching their heads like “Wait, it doesn’t make sense. She shouldn’t have been able to do that!”

But she did.

But you did.

Say this out loud: [[ insert problem/fear/limiting belief/whatever here ]]

follow it with…

but she did it anyway.

I love you, truly. You can do the damn thing. Yes? Okay, yes.

Share this with someone you know needs it, and save it for you too when you need a reminder. Because whether I ever know you or not, I believe in you, and it’s time you choose to believe in you too.
